Dr Jonsson Funk is Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Director of the Center for Pharmacoepidemiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Over the past 17 years, her research has focused on the intersection of pharmacoepidemiology and methods for estimating valid effects in real world data with specific applications in women’s health research. Her methodologic expertise includes estimation of drug effects using non-experimental data, evaluation of treatment effect heterogeneity, implementation of propensity scores, doubly robust estimators, methods to address bias due to measurement error, and data linkage approaches.
