Bio
David Stock holds a PhD in epidemiology from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto and is a research associate in the departments of Community Health and Epidemiology and Family Medicine at Dalhousie University. A classically-trained epidemiologist, he began his research career focusing on determinants of prostate cancer aggressiveness, circadian disruption, and reproductive risk factors for breast cancer. David was first involved in health services research as a clinical epidemiologist evaluating Ontario’s ColorectalCancerCheck screening program. Recent health services research has involved health service utilization and continuum of care following acquired brain injury – with a focus on hypoxic-ischemic injury, an understudied population, most of whom die prior to or during the initial acute care episode. David’s work currently focuses on health services research related to primary care access during the COVID-19 pandemic
